We welcome new patients, and look forward to working with you. Please feel free to book an appointment online, or contact our front desk by e-mail (best) or phone. The front desk has access to more appointment times, so if you cannot find what you need online, please get in touch with us directly (e-mail is best!).

What to expect on the first visit…
Our initial consult is comprehensive, and focused on you. We listen to your history and learn about your health care needs, gather information, review available lab work, answer your questions, and if time allows we finish with an acupuncture session.
After your first visit, we review your case with a holistic perspective, and develop a personalized treatment plan that is individually tailored to meet your needs. On your second visit, we review your treatment plan, discuss any concerns, answer your questions, and ensure that you feel we are a good fit for your needs.
Preparing for your first visit…
- Time here: 2 hours (without acupuncture) or 2.5 hours (with acupuncture).
- Door code: will be emailed to you
- Forms: waiting for you at the front desk
- Restroom: in the back on your right
- Labwork: bring copies if you’ve got them
- Cancellation policy: 48 hours, for Monday appointments please let us know by Friday

For in-network patients:
Once we receive verification from your insurance company regarding your benefits we will collect only the copay and any deductibles for your visits.
Plans in this group include Blueshield, Cigna, GEHA, Sutter Health, and Harrington Health.
We are providers for Covered California plans.
For out-of-network patients:
Fees are paid at time of service. We bill your insurance. Insurance will either reimburse you directly, or if we receive payment from your insurance company, we will issue you a refund check. The reimbursement amount will depend on your individual insurance plan.
For those who choose to manage their own insurance billing:
We will provide you with a super-bill, which will provide all the information your insurance company needs to reimburse you directly.
Please Note: Verification of insurance coverage does not guarantee payment of benefits. Your insurance company may deny coverage for certain diagnoses or dates of service. In the event that coverage is denied, we will submit an appeal. If the appeal is denied, then you are financially responsible for services. We advise that you become fully aware of your insurance benefits and are proactive in communicating directly with your insurance company when this occurs.
